Учебник английского · Present Perfect: introduction

Have/has + past participle

Build the Present Perfect with **have** or **has** plus a past participle: *I have finished*, *she has arrived*, *we have seen it*. Use **has** with *he, she,* and *it*; use **have** with the other subjects.

Use this form when an earlier event matters now, when the exact past time is not stated, or when a situation continues to the present: *I've lost my key.* *Have you ever tried sushi?* *We have lived here for two years.*

Use **for** with a length of time and **since** with a starting point. Words such as *ever, never, already, just,* and *yet* often appear with the Present Perfect. Use Simple Past with a finished time such as *yesterday* or *last year*.
